Blog Post 3

So far what I have read in this book has been pretty good. It's a bit confusing because it's all the recipes Gesine makes throughout working in her bakery, there very delcious looking recipes that is though because I myself will be making one of these for my class. I haven't decided which one yet though because they all look very tasty and are not the easiest recipes to make. I liked the book because I have always been interested in baking and Gesine does a good job at making her own recipes, and they were more of things I would like to make instead of actual "food." I recommend this book to anyone because it's very out of the ordinary and not something you expect and like to read most of the time. I enjoyed most of it because it didn't confuse me at all. A summary would basically just be the succesful business she runs in Vermont at the bakery she owns because she had left her sister in Hollywood because she wanted to leave the life of fame because it was overwhelming, and she was also very close with her sister most of the time. I actually liked the book a lot more so far since my previous post because I realized it's not all about the things you read in the book, but it's the importance, and I realized how important cooking was to this woman.

Discussion Questions:

What would it be like to leave someone you were very close with for a life of your own?

I picked this sight because looking at it I found it interesting because Gesine is a baker and this sight pretty much has a link to any baking ingrediant possible.
